► GET THE 5 FREE SLIDES HERE: https://goo.gl/TBZibY We're going to take a break from the weekly Slide Cow PowerPoint tutorials. Instead, let's focus on something HUGE that Microsoft just rolled out for the Microsoft Office suite; 3D Models! That's right! You, as a presenter, can now import 3D models into your PowerPoint slides. I’m not talking about some 3D image that we can stick on a slide canvas. I'm talking about legitimately using a 3D Model file in your PowerPoint slide; an object you can scale, rotate, and play around with however you’d like. You may think that sounds complicated, but it really isn't. In fact, PowerPont's 3D Model feature is straightforward; all you have to do is import a 3D file into your slide, and get to work. Confused? Don't be. Watch the video to get an ide...

Many technologies have promised to revolutionize education, but so far none has. With that in mind, what could revolutionize education? These ideas have been percolating since I wrote my PhD in physics education: http://www.physics.usyd.edu.au/super/theses/PhD(Muller).pdf I have also discussed this topic with CGP Grey, whose view of the future of education differs significantly from mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vsCAM17O-M I think it is instructive that each new technology has appeared to be so transformative. You can imagine, for example, that motion pictures must have seemed like a revolutionary learning technology. After all they did revolutionize entertainment, yet failed to make significant inroads into the classroom. TV and video seem like a cheaper, scaled back film, but t...
Check out a budget upgrade to take your close up work to a whole new level. Macro tubes are a simple but effective way to use the DSLR camera you already have to create amazing closeup work. It's important to know that autofocus and aperture control will not work with inexpensive extension tubes, but there are some pretty easy workarounds for that. It's also very critical to have plenty of light because you will lose some exposure value with a macro tube. I always keep a set up tubes in my camera bag just in case I find a tiny flower or interesting texture that just begs to be seen up close. You'll actually discover a whole new world of visuals once you start using macro tubes because they'll show details you would never see with the naked eye. The flowers at the end of this video ar...

This video aims to demonstrate the capabilities of eInfochips’ image-based search algorithm. A coffee chain in Taiwan, Let's Cafe, celebrated 'Valentine's Day' in the Chinese calendar on Tuesday (August 13) by providing couples with latte art that immortalises their photos together. The date falls on the seventh day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar. When a customer purchases a medium-sized latte, their photo is captured by a camera. The picture is edited into the right position and size, then printed on a cup of latte through a specialized latte printer. The process takes approximately five minutes. Each of the special latte is going for $45 New Taiwan Dollar ($1.50 USD), which is no different to how much a normal latte would cost in the shop. Let's Cafe is offering photo latte services from 13:30 p.m. (0530 GMT) to 18:00 p.m. (1000 GMT) local time. Depending on ...
The Human Media Lab at Queen's University in Canada has developed a Star Trek-like human-size 3d videoconferencing pod that allows people in different locations to video conference as if they are standing in front of each other. "Why skype when you can talk to a life-size 3d holographic image of another person?" says Professor Roel Vertegaal, director of the Human Media Lab. The technology is called TeleHuman and looks like something from the Star Trek Holodeck. Two people simply stand in front of their own life-size cylindrical pods and talk to 3d hologram-like images of each other. cameras capture and track 3d video and convert it into the life-size surround image. Since the 3d video image is visible 360 degrees around the pod, the person can walk around it to see the other person's s...

The blind are dead
They don't see
They don't listen to reality
Walking in shadows
Which blind their sight
They live in darkness, without any light
Laugh at us, spit at us
When Jesus walked the earth
He suffered the same
The bible says we should be
Crucified with Christ
And in the end we recieve our gift
When you wake up in hell
Was your image worth it?
Are you proud of yourself?
You had a chance to receive
To be a believer but
You turned your back on God
To be a crowd pleaser
Oh so, secure
But always in the end
It's just a stupid trip
You gotta keep that image
Gotta fit in
Playing up your image
It's an image of sin
Can't you see what I'm saying to you?
Jesus Christ has taken me
And made me new
I no longer have the shadows
Which blind my sight
